you never know...you negative posters!
SDSU is 0-0 right now, soon to be 1-0 and so on.
Just like the Chargers going to the Superbowl this year. There is a chance.

There is a chance, sure. There is also a chance that I will run a mile in under 4 minutes! ;D
Seriously, any bowl invitation would be super! Let's not talk about a BCS bowl.

We should go bowling this year.....If not....Something is really wrong.
The schedule is there for at least a 6-6 season.
The coaches are there for at least a 6-6 season.
The players are there for at least a 6-6 season.
For the first time in 4 years (and actually there was no excuse last year. We should have won at least 6)...
There is absolutely no excuse for not going .500.......NONE!!!!

There is virtually no chance since even if they went undefeated they may not make a BCS bowl game under the current system. Boise State and TCU did not make BCS bowl games the first year they had great seasons because they started out the season so low they could not make it high enough in the standings to qualify. You pretty much have to start out in the top 25. Otherwise even one loss teams will be rated much higher than you are.

AzWm I met Sir Roger Bannister (First to run sub 4 min mile) at a lecture in Oxford, and I must say, I've never met a more amazing person. One of the best experiences of my life, for sure. Your chances, respectfully, and without knowing your level of fitness, are not even close to fifty-fifty

Ah, yes. 'Tis the time of the year we start pulling the rose colored glasses of the rack and sipping the Jack. It'll be the Kool Aid Crew vs The Negative Nellie's from now to the home opener. The "bowl for sure" Dudes vs the "Fat Chancer's." Let'er Rip. The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

The Kool aid is flowing. It's so easy to drink it this time of year!

Ok listen, I started this thread kind of as a joke, but it IS possible for the SDSU Aztecs to go to a BCS bowl THIS year.
1. SDSU would have to win out, of course (given).
2. Once Missouri kills Illinois. SDSU needs to put an ungodly beat down on Missouri, then have Missouri go undefeated and destroy Oklahoma.
3. Be ranked early as a result.
3. Have TCU, Utah and BYU be ranked and undefeated (except for us)
4. Score an ungodly amount of points, Look great early, and maintain a hold of a lot of individual statistical numbers (i.e. QB completion percentage, receiving yards for Vincent Brown, perhaps leading YPG rusher in the NCAA, etc). to get people/media talking about us.
6. Have top teams like Alabama and Florida have at least 2 losses on the season.
THIS is how we could do it.
now lets go do it? !

BTW 4 minute miles are not as uncommon as they used to be.

Only way we go to a BCS bowl is if Hoke buys the team tickets to the game.

If VB hadn't gotten hurt I think we might well have been in a bowl last year.

If VB hadn't gotten hurt I think we might well have been in a bowl last year. Might be a blessing in disguise as it allowed DeMarco to show (maybe mostly to himself) what he can do.

More like 1,000-1, actually.

On paper, vs Utah and @ TCU are definite loses. Missouri looks vulnerable and ripe for the upset, but a nagging feeling tells me that a couple plays or so will give us heartbreak once again against a BCS school (I do feel it will be a very close contest...no runaway game). BYU, with a freshman (though highly touted) QB and the dismissal of RB Harvey Unga, I'd lke to think there's a decent chance at the upset. Air Force, as usual, is the 50-50 game, and the rest of the schedule are teams SDSU should be able to beat (but don't) all the time
