Are either of them playing pro ball anywhere? I heard that Abukar had a very good year playing somewhere. So I am guessing yes. I am not sure about Marcus. |

Fish gets credit for graduation rates even for guys who leave and come back to finish, like they are (allegedly) doing. So it's a win-win. |

I don't think making $500K a year for a couple years is dumb. His Dad was not an idiot, controlling? maybe. But not an idiot. As much as I would have liked him to stay in school for another year, if i were to get a $500k a year job offer, even for short term it would be hard to pass up. |

Slaughter is making a good living playing basketball but how do know he is making 500 K ... maybe he's only making around $70,000 K per year? And even if he is ... $500 K playing in europe vs $1.2 million+ in america ... which would you prefer?
Hakim Warrick just signed for 35 million and Slaughter (and Malcolm Thomas) have similar skills.

It was documented that his first year in his league in Turkey, I believe, that after taxes he was making just a tad more than the NBA league minimum. There was an article online about it and everything Slaughter is making a good living playing basketball but how do know he is making 500 K ... maybe he's only making around $70,000 K per year? And even if he is ... $500 K playing in europe vs $1.2 million+ in america ... which would you prefer? Hell, I'd badly maim someone for a job making $50k/yr at this point. |
