What the conservatives seem not to understand is that liberals are not attacking Palin, they are laughing at her. Do you think that she is not laughing at you as she marches to the bank to deposit her speaking fee? Do you think that as she helps Conservative candidates raise money to defeat the lame duck Dems that she gets a chuckle out of statements like you just made? I love it when you shallow lefties are marching on the treadmill to electoral oblivion that you think you are near as smart as Palin. |

Win, Palin is smart enough to use her looks, charisma and guile to market to her core audience. She plays that audience to the hilt and is scoring big time. She could get up there and say something like "anybody out there miss Ozzie & Harriet?...now that was a REAL American family"!! and I bet the crowd would go nuts. The World, and America, is changing fast.... and there is a real longing for the good times and how it was (or seemed) 30-40 years ago. Actually, you can still find that in pockets of rural America and in much of Alaska. I have to admit that I love places like that. For the majority of the US however, it just isn't like that anymore. So I think Palin can continue to play to her constituents and make a lot of bank, but if she tries to step into the larger picture outside of her core audience... I think her message, folksy speak and lack of interest in science, global politics etc. will not resonate. Of course Bristol (learned well from Mom) and Levi's new reality show may expose some dirty laundry that may not help the mama grizzly.  |

In my heavy drinking days, I found that I could always win a bet by walking into a stateside bar and telling the inhabitants that they were so stupid that they could not name forty of the fifty states in ten minutes. They never could and I always won. Beer is a great lubricant. Yeah but we're not talking about palin's HUSBAND. Gosh, John. You mean that HE was the one I was winning all those bets from? |

Hillary was the serious Dragon Lady and the Obama was the more electable candidate accordingly. I wonder who will benefit from Palin the most next round? Romney? Jindal? Newt? Some new face? I wish JC Watts would run. A no-brainer for a VP candidate anyhow. |

I wish JC Watts would run. A no-brainer for a VP candidate anyhow. I'm afraid something must have gone wrong---he just dropped out of sight. Besides, don't just assume he'd get any of the Black vote. The "r" next to his name will steer them in the other direction. I thought there was some sort of scandal brewing with him. Could be that it was all swept under the carpet. All I know is that only about five percent of Blacks now vote Republican. Could be that LBJ was right when he said, “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” half a hundred years ago. They haven't left the Democratic Party yet. |
