So what you’re implying is that we should go back to the yesteryears because we couldn’t face the challenges of the present. Whilst every WAC school would jump forward to the MWC in a heartbeat, you prefer that we jump backward. I never said I wanted us to go back there. Isn't that what you implied when you said and I quote, "More wins, better attendance, a chance to do what Boise has been doing there for the last few years."

I'd rather that we win 8-10 games a year in the MWC though. We are in agreement.

Why would playing in the WAC get us better attendance? I guess we might win more there, but we do lose to a bottom WAC team every year so that is no guarantee.
The MWC is where we should be - they are basically all far superior institutions in athletics and academics over the WAC.

To answer the original question: not as much as they want Arizona State, Arizona, BYU, Utah or Boise St. back.

I am one of many who feel that returning to the WAC would, overall, damage our athletic program. Basketball would suffer. Does anyone think we would be recruiting people such as Leonard if we were in the WAC?
There is, however, a scenario in which something like joining the WAC might be inevitable. That, of course, is if the MWC loses several more schools to the Big-12. If we were down to six or seven schools, we would probably have to get Fresno, Nevada, and perhaps Hawaii to join us. It might still be the MWC, but it would start looking a lot like the old WAC. And, just perhaps, we might want virtually all the WAC to come aboard to reach 12 or 16 teams.
Not a good option, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

Not a good option, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility. A tragic, yet truthful statement.
