Wow! Really? This a Japaneese specific phenomenon? Was Kurt Cobain Japaneese?
I can't say I followed Irabu's career closely, after he dissed the Padres. But how Ironic, perhaps you could say "Zen", that he refused to pitch for a Southern California Major League team in the Padres, and finished his pro career pitching for something called the Long Beach Armada. What comes around, goes around.
