Well, okay, it's just one of their authors. Still, they chose to print this piece. Here is a key paragraph from the piece to which I make reference. Please read it and then explain how anyone who respects the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law could have said this . . . This is part of William Pfaff's suggestion as to what Obama should have said in his speech about the Gulf of Mexico crisis. . . “I have therefore today given orders that the American functions of this company be provisionally seized, or placed in temporary receivership, by the American government,"I wonder just how many other "provisional seizures" of private property the author thinks should be instituted by our President. Let's not forget that upon taking office, Barack Obama swore to uphold the Constitution. I am unaware of any provision of that document that gives the President, merely on his order, the power to seize anything with or without due process. William Pfaff seems not to understand that. I urge him to stick to making sewing machines. www.nybooks.com/articles/archives/2010/jul/15/what-obama-should-have-said-bp/AzWm
