It is their religion and their moral code and their justice.
We have no business trying to sway their policies.
Obama would be most correct ignoring the internal affairs of foreign citizens.

Joe, you used to think that this was reason enough to re intensify the current Crusade against Islam. But, Win, I am a Born Again Liberal. (BAL) Now I see things through liberal eyes. Let them do what they do best in their land. If it is population control with exploding faithful, beheadings of infidels and stonings of horny women, Let It Be. John Lennon was so right.

Damn, I feel like I have been overtaken by a disease that is overpowering me! BAL might be injurious to my health. Calm down! I just saw in last night's paper that Iran had decided to put this on hold for at least now. I know that it is just one issue within BAL, and that there remain many things that might be detrimental to your mental (and physical) well being. I think that many just learn to live with it or even enjoy it. It is like the idea of the handicapped seeming to enjoy their handicap as a way of coping. I believe we all can agree that liberalism is a handicap far more severe than any physical handicap. You will be just fine until time to re convert.

Talk about Inner Conflict.
My father raised me to believe that Germans were the master race. We had the highest average IQ of the civilized nations. We had produced the most diligent scientists, the best music, the best of everything.
Being a dutiful child, I believed him until I was thirteen, when I realized that the Beatles were better than Mozart or Wagner. After a few years of denial, my father came around and told me that the "Beatles were pretty good for this day and age, but we have to admit that they were descended from Anglo Saxon tribals, and are thus German."
I continued my rebellion against my childhood brainwashing by getting engaged to a dark skinned Moorish goddess named Maria. Never did get married even though she was a great lover.
Eventually, though I married a beautiful Norwegian-Irish girl (the redhead in the photos that you have seen). After two pregnancies she got fat, and I married another Northern central European girl who wasn't fat. The brainwashing must have had an effect on those decisions.
Now, I am a Liberal and can not reconcile my indoctrination with my new found belief. Something has got to give.

What the hell was George Bush,Dick Cheney's puppet. I used to think that. Look at the sentence to which you replied. It makes no sense. As a writer, I would have thought that you would rip his extremely poor English rather than reply to what he might have meant.

Look at the sentence to which you replied. It makes no sense. As a writer, I would have thought that you would rip his extremely poor English rather than reply to what he might have meant. Steve and I have a special message board relationship. We disagree on a lot of stuff, but remain friendly. I will go out of my way to help him if he has a problem, however minor. I think he would do the same thing for me. That is the way message board etiquette should be. We should not have to deal with boob like attacks all of the time. Case in point, Steve appears to have a firm dislike of Tom Craft. I count myself as very Craft friendly as I knew him in college in the mid seventies. Personally, I felt that Tom was not head smart enough to run a Division One Football program. (I think he is dyslexic.) When Tom was hired as Head Coach, I sent a letter to the Athletic Department telling them that he would need an assistant to help him run the office from an administrative standpoint. The Athletic Department refused to give him one, and it showed. Tom was not an administrator. He is just a pure coach and one of the best. His JC team won the state championship again last season. Now he has moved on to Riverside, and They will win the state championship under Tom's teaching. I like Tom and always will in spite of his shortcomings. Steve just dislikes him. I ignore any of Steve's posts on that topic and as best I can tell he ignores mine. We are both cool that way. Otherwise, we exchange opinion on most every other topic. Steve is very, very, very intelligent and I love his comments.

Look at the sentence to which you replied. It makes no sense. As a writer, I would have thought that you would rip his extremely poor English rather than reply to what he might have meant. Win, also, I think I have presented the reality about my writing ability. I wrote the first book by accident. I was pressured by my kids to write up the story that I made up for them over thirty years ago. After enough prodding by the kids, I sat down over three months and wrote the book. I was going to have a few of them printed up and distribute them among the family members and a few friends from high school days who all voted me "The Least Likely to Succeed" member of our senior class in 67. Remember, I was the son of an alcoholic who had been arrested many times in Escondido while I was growing up there. I was only an average student in high school who had a reputation of refusing to do home work. (I was too busy working after school as I lived by myself.) Remember I have taken absolutely NO college English courses. I have never taken a writing course. I know nothing about writing and type like sheet when in a hurry. There is no way that I qualify as a "writer." I am just a DADDY who wrote up a story he had made up for his kids. When I found out that my paperback (artificial creation book just for the aforementioned people) was selling for $95 as a used paperback, I thought it was a put on by some of my friends, but with a little research I found that it was two large internet book resellers, one in Del Mar and the other in Seattle. The book was selling, even with typos in it (six, I think). Then I was contacted by the president of a book club by the name of Mrs. Hoffmann in Minneapolis, MN. who wanted to know when I was going to write a sequel, which I did for her sake. Then I was contacted by Amazon asking me if I would convert my book to an E-book for sale on their Internet site called MobiPocket located in France for tax purposes. Well, I converted the book as they suggested, and I have been leading sales for seven years. No other author on their sites has had such success. No matter where I put it category wise, it keeps on selling. (Sci Fi, Novels, Action and Adventure, Religious Fiction) I keep on moving it around because everybody tells me that it is not Sci Fi and not a Novel and not really Action and Adventure and not really Religious Fiction. It is a bastard book and I am a bastard writer. To this day, I am flabbergasted. It was just a story that I made up for my kids. I receive ten to fifteen emails a day from people who liked the book. As I keep on saying, I know nothing about the industry. I don't know why it keeps on selling like it does, and I do not consider myself a writer. I wrote about 300 pages for a novel that I was going to call Samoa. My hard drive crashed and I lost it. I suppose I could pay some money to see if some expert can retrieve the story from the crashed hard drive, but I don't consider my writing to be that valuable. If I feel motivated enough, I might try writing it again. I believe my wife donated the crashed computer to Salvation Army, so I doubt that I have the hard drive any more. As long as I am not really a writer, I have no hangups about anything when it comes to writing.

Joe, you used to think that this was reason enough to re intensify the current Crusade against Islam. I see. As a '70 something Christian Reich ideologue you assume we can alter the entire course of the planet based upon your rather pathetic, Christian fundamentalist belief system. I mean really; you want to offer this in terms of "Crusades"? How pathetic is that? And more to the point, how stupid is it that some old man, who never engaged in combat, is willing to send our kids into religious battle simply because you have this overwhelming desire to make sure there will be a religious war between Christianity and Islam. I'm sorry, Pooh, but you really are an idiot when it comes to these things because everything you write is based upon your bull$#!+, fundamentalist view of the world. Not all of us who are Christians accept your bull$#!+, fundamentalist view of the world. LWSP =Bob

It is probably correct that Obama would do nothing, BUT no one who ever voted for reagan should ever criticize anyone's use of a tele-prompter. reagan basically invented the thing. Maybe my emphasis should be on the "empty suit" part.

The problem with Obama and Iran is this; the Iranians, at least those in positions of power, have absolutely no fear of this man. Obama seemed to think that if he used a rational, "nuanced" approach to international relations, our adversaries would suddenly see how foolish they had been and would become more friendly. He may no longer believes such twaddle. However, it's too late to become the tough guy now that being the reasonable, self-effacing guy has not worked.
Obama had a chance to show his mettle during the disputed Iranian election of 2009, but he screwed the pooch completely. He could have come out strongly in favor of the protesters. Instead, he hid under his desk.
Do you think that Ronald Reagan would have acted so cravenly?

Dumb thread. What would you do if you were Pres. William? You know how much crazy shi* like this happens in Third World? When I was in New Guinea two years ago, two old women were accused of being witches, so the Villagers cut them up into pieces and threw them in a fire. What should the President do about that?... give me a break.
