Don's memorial service will document Aztec Football tradition.
Great men of Aztec football will speak of his greatness.
In his death he will lead Aztec football into the future.
I believe coach Hoke will be inspired Monday.
He got to meet the man who put us on the map.
What other big time football program will have sent there head coach to Heaven from a football field? Yes our basketball stadium sits on Aztec Bowl.
I wish I could be there Monday. Will some of you guys go there for me?
I was lucky to have been there at our peak. I'll be with you on the internet.

Madden was on campus just two years ago, and has made numerous stops over the years in conjunction with his mnf duties. Fouts, why would he come to campus? He is a Duck. |

Those previous coaches who haven't been on campus for a long time will be pleasently suprised by what they see.The probably remember little old San Diego State how it was in the 60's and 70's big change from today. Those who do sports broadcasting may discuss SDSU in a different way after their visit.

Not just that, but I've heard Madden make positive comments about SDSU several times over the years despite what a POS the program has been. Further, the man does NFL football, not college, so he hasn't exactly had occasion to pimp the Aztecs. Finally, he isn't even an alumnus of the school, just a former employee. As to the memorial service, I sure wish I could make it but there's just no way. To those who will be able to, please let the rest of us know as much as possible about it. |

I'll be there in spirit. Those games at Aztec Bowl were really fun times for my family and our friends. Class of '74.
