I have no idea who Lost Lettermen is (found a link on another site) but I think this is a great analysis of the quality of the off-season hires. It's also semi-relevant to SDSU in discussing Bobby Hauck, Jimbo Fisher and what happened to Tommy Tuberville's offense at Auburn after he fired Al Borges: www.lostlettermen.com/2010/07/feature-grading-college-footballs-2010-hires/

Good read for those of us who spend way too much time following CFB. As a big Hauck fan, I struggle with trying to connect his success at D1 with that of 2 previous Montana coaches. Time will tell, but I think UNLV made a good choice in Hauck.
That being said, I am really glad we ended up with Hoke. I think we got a real good one in Hoke.

ShawFan, I think you and I are on the same page. Which is to say that Hauck was a "C" hire for UNLV and would have been the same for us weighing the pros and cons. (Including not just that he won big at what was already a DIAA football factory but he left while in hot water with student writers on the campus newspaper, which is never a good thing.)
