Ron Paul is obviously a worthless topic for this forum. Nobody seems to know who he is.

Ron Paul is obviously a worthless topic for this forum. Nobody seems to know who he is. Joe, We have a problem here. Paul has some very good ideas and many of his positions are right on. Some of his ideas may be picked up by the eventual nominee, but Paul himself can't draw enough support to win the nomination. What he said last night about Homeland Security and the Federal Reserve we very thought provoking. To answer the question, Paul has been pretty close to on target for the most part. A lot of that material should be a big part of his campaign and for the nominee after the Repub Convention.

To interpret, Paul, and libertarians in general, don't agree with the Republican base when it comes to social issues and defense spending. But really, Duke, do you agree with anything he has to say about closing down our overseas bases? Personally I think he's right on when it comes to defense spending but it's your side, not mine, who will ignore his very well thought out positions on how much the American Empire is costing us. =Bob

Do you have any idea of what the real cost or level of subsidization that our overseas is? Do you have any real idea of what is in our Status of Forces Treaties? Many bases could and should be shut down, but you have absolutely no idea of which ones or why and neither do most of our members of Congress. Instead of talking about Military bases, why not talk about the Federal Reserve or the cost and function of Homeland Security. Those are things that Ron Paul talked about. I forgot, you know nothing about those topics either. Did you even listen to the debate?
