www.americanthinker.com/2010/07/president_dogbert_1.htmlThis link may be of interest to some of us for different reasons. The thing that got me most interested was the reference to just the writing of "Mission Statements". The dogging of Obama was not what caught my attention. In my last job as a member of the "Executive Steering Committee" at our command. I wasted countless hours in "retreats" to deal with this nonsense and similar drivel. I even flew from San Diego to Hawaii and back to go to one eight hour session that was devoted to this. I have never been a fan of participatory management, but have always liked the Deming ideas of the process of constant improvement by encouraging and providing incentives for the working level to suggest process improvement. Sometimes it worked great and at others we would find inane reasons to ignore great money and time saving ideas.
