This article mentions our coaches were watching a lot of great prospects. Are we recruiting Cezar Guerrero? We are not mentioned but, it sounds like he is open. I feel if so you can always have guard play. stjohns.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1100635

Feel like we might have missed the boat on a player like Jahi Carson out of Arizona. Was one of the top two or three players I got to watch at the Maxpreps tournament over Christmas last year. He was probably third on the list behind Kyrie Irving and Michael Gilchrist. Really good player, excellent passer.

I heard about this kid a few years ago... he was kind of a youtube sensation for having such strong handles as an 8th grader. The latest on him is that he is refining his game and not being as flashy as he once was. He has a nice jumper in all of his videos, very smooth release. Also plays for the same AAU team that LBF was on. All that being said, Id say there is a zero percent chance that he comes to SDSU. With LBF and X Thames set to be sophs next season, Cezar will go somewhere where he will have more of an immediate impact, especially since he has so many schools after him, he will have his pick.

Carson committed very early and then reopened up a few months ago ... but we were never on his list (unlv might have a shot though). The fact that we landed LBF and Thames and also have combo guards in Rahon and Tapley, the PG position is solid and we need to move on to other positions of need specifically SF/F and PF/C. I'm assuming we are not after Guerrero, but this camp has many of the best players in the country this week. It would be interesting to know who we are looking at?

Newest Video of Cezar. As he said it, this is the most important summer of his life. This video post yesterday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7sw6tl86jQ&feature=youtu.beCezar had a great spring league, and his summer is going really well. However, you are correct in that we haven't had much contact with him as of late.

kid's game is smooth. we don't need him, but he will make a fine PG somewhere.

LBF and Thames will both be Sophs which is why I say we dont really need this kid. Id rather the schollie go to a PF or C

Very nice. PG is taken care of for a couple of years.

Just watched the Cezar video for the first time.
I like him a lot. If we could get him AND he would be willing to redshirt (which is very doubtful), I would take him.
He has a real quick release on his shot, which makes up for his lack of size.
Yes, his passes are flashy, but you can't deny his court vision. He is excellent at seeing the floor and hitting the open man.

The only thing that even suggests that guerrero is a possible recruit ... is the title of this post. There is absolutely nothing suggesting that we are one of the schools he is considering. rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Cezar-Guerrero-82492Possible PG/G's that have been mentioned are: PG TJ Taylor PG CJ Cooper PG/G Spencer Dinwiddie G Norman Powell PG Collin Woods PG Quincy Smith ... and none of these players are going to want to redshirt either.

I can't imagine a PG is likely in '12 unless he's a flat out stud, maybe a combo guard

We have been interested, or at least he first showed up on the radar that we looked at him back when he was a sophomore. The fact that more info hasn't come out about our interest or his interest in us in over two years is pretty telling.
