One of the things I do not like about cable news channels is this kind of thing. Not that the liberal showed his colors, but that in this format both sides talk over each other and rarly let a position get fully fleshed out. In this case, the weak minded liberal just gave up to easily. www.breitbart.tv/crybaby-liberal-pundit-rips-off-mic-storms-off-fox-news-set/Still, the moderatore or interviewer should control the mikes of the persons not "up".

Shouting at each other does neither. Apparently it drives ratings, however, or FAUX News wouldn't encourage it so. Steven Colbert once interviewed George Will about the tenor of discussion on "This Week with..." at www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/171135/june-03-2008/george-will He asked the question that defines FAUX News -- "How can you tell who's right if you don't measure it by who's loudest? Will has a great line in there too -- modified from someone else. Political parties, he said, "...exist to help us organize our animosities" Yoda out... .

Have you ever watched MessNBC with Chris Matthews screaming over the guest de jour with spittle flying from his foam-flecked mouth? Did you ever watch CNN's "Crossfire" with Michael Kinsley screaming, veins popping out on his neck? Or Keith Olbermann? And just this morning, the SF Chronicle (hardly a right-wing rag) on page A6 reported that a certain Ed Shultz was suspended by MessNBC for "vile and intemperate remarks" on his "show". I used to watch all these, but gave them all up some time ago. I wanted a debate I could listen to, between two opposing views, passionate, but intelligible and measured with some civility. Every time one of these programs ended, I felt cheated because they almost always ended in an unintelligible screaming match. I decided they were useless as a source of information, and the political divide in this country has gone beyond the point where civil debate is any longer possible. And yet here you are, a self-proclaimed "moderate" exclusively slamming Fox. Never a peep out of you about the others. Is it any surprise that some people may view your protestations of being a moderate with a jaundiced eye?

My 97 year old mother in law lives with my wife and I -- and she watches FAUX News and listens to all the right wing radio she can handle. So I am exposed to FAUX -- like it or not. Answer: NOT. I do not voluntarily choose to watch any of the more extreme political shows, so other than being forced to sit through some FAUX News shows, I don't watch any of the folks that you mention. I may have caught a few snippets, but I've never watched a single Matthews / Kinsley / Olbermann / Shultz show from start to finish. I never will either. Nothing would please me more than not to have been exposed to FAUX, believe me. Yoda out...

FORCED?
Gimme a break. You must be horribly PW.
But since you admit you don't watch "extreme" political shows except when FORCED to watch "faux" (heh), I think you should hold your water.
If you expect any credibility, that is.

Dave, I understand you're older than granny's tits and twice as wrinkled, but phrases such as ***** whipped are sadly outdated. But then again, so are you. You aren't Howard Stern - can't stand him but Hell, he's even funnier than you are. Try dropping the shock jock schtick and offer a decent argument instead of another troll. =Bob

Matthews likes to talk and he talks over every guest, left or right. You have no point. I won't bother with your reference to Olbermann since he hasn't been on MSNBC for at least a couple or 3 months. Try to keep up. =Bob

Oops, your logic was flawed. Again. As respects my mother in law, it's called being civil -- a topic that you should probably hold your water on for reasons of the same lack of familiarity that you accuse me of. Yoda out... .

What you have basically said is, if grandma liked to watch "kiddy porn", you would be obliged to watch it with her out of a "sense of civility". hahahahahaha

Hmmm, Fox News and "kiddy porn" are equivalent. Interesting.

Actually, it would be what we needed to get her committed -- unfortunately, FAUX News alone probably isn't sufficient. Once she were committed we could make her viewing decisions for her and both FAUX and kiddy porn would be blocked. Yoda out... .
