Neuheisel says the three players know they “made a terrible mistake signing with UCLA.” Oldie Out They're right. At USC they wouldn't have had to resort to purse snatching to make some money.

Slick Rick is on a short leash by the NCAA. He had no choice but to suspend them.

At least Coach Neuheisel got the first 3 entrants into his annual NCAA March Madness Basketball pool early.

It's really devastating for UCLA football. Those three are among the top six or seven recruits in the 2010 class.
Couldn't happen to a nicer school. ;D
BTW, be careful about throwing stones. Neuheisal handled the situation properly.

Shirley is a REALLY good player. But I don't feel bad for the Booins.

Slick Rick is on a short leash by the NCAA. He had no choice but to suspend them. Probably true. Of course, the same can be said of our own Steve Fisher.

Neuheisal handled the situation properly. No he didn't. He should have told them to take a long walk off a short pier, but instead he's left the door wide open for them to come back for the Spring semester. I mean really, they stole a purse? Seems to me UCSmellA most likely pays their players enough that they shouldn't have to steal. =Bob

Not so fast, Bob.
What if the three are exonerated? They haven't been found guilty yet. Remember the Duke lacrosse case. Is it really outrageous that Neuheisel has left the door open a bit for the three should the charges be dropped? The three may be really bad actors, but at this point I would say that the action taken by Neuheisel seems appropriate.
Also, don't you think that he has probably cleared this action with the UCLA administration? They know Rick's history, and I'm sure they are eager to handle the case in such a way that the univ. does not suffer.
