"Christina Romer, who heads the White House Council of Economic Advisers, predicts lawmakers home for the break will get an earful from unemployed workers on how "devastating it is" to be kicked off unemployment rolls. "I think ultimately we will prevail," she said Friday."
This is a paragraph that sticks out for me. What does she mean by prevail? If Dems, who are in control, get that earful; what is it an ear full of? Is it this crazy spending? Is it wanting unemployment benefits? I hope that what people tell their Congressmen and Senators is that you need to remove the uncertainty that hangs over our heads. Cut spending, set a sound fiscal policy, make Bush Tax Cut permanent, and vow to repeal and replace the ObamaCare bill.
Right now, if I were still a businessman, I would look at present worker productivity and cost cutting to shore up my business rather than take on new workers until Congress gets off the backs of business. Can you blame business for being cautious in the face of this unstable economy? Can you blame people for waiting till we see how the direction of the country changes after this mid term election?
