I am trying to find out some info on him. I thought I would have heard back from a contact I have on him by now, but it hasn't happened.
I can't wait for High School basketball season to start. I plan on seeing Troy Leaf play multiple times against top competition.
I have read a lot on him. I have seen video on him. I have talked to basketball people about him.
There is some skepticism about him for some reason with some people.
I think we we have a big time scorer and player, who is going to blow the socks off of Viejas Arena by his soph year.

Hey Steve, glad I found you. I'll spend more time over here now since I enjoy your posts. Hi John. I am lurking on the other board and saw your request for me to get ahold of you. I couldn't without registering again. I'm throwing some stuff on here and the MWC board. I hope some basketball people will come over here and talk. I am so excited about the upcoming football season and the basketball season. Full Speed Ahead John!!!

Funny if it is so. He has been commited for a long time. I don't want to get another subscription so I guess we just wait till rivals or NCT gets wind of it. UT will probably never find out.

Steve, I knew I'd find you on this board. What happen at the other board? I should have PMd this but too late now. Hi Psst13. I will be on this board and the MWC board. I won't return to the other board until the current MOD gives up the board. I will PM you in awhile as to why. There is very little that really ticks me off and the MOD on the other board (who I know and is a good guy) unfortunately did one of them. It is the only thing that could chase me away, but he did it, so now we move on. On Troy Leaf, I have found out some more info, but I don't even want to say that it is 100% accurate....but it is more info than we have now. So far, it appears that our staff has not done anything to make Troy Leaf open up his recruitment. At least as far as I have heard. It is more that some teams are coming in pretty hard on him. As a parent and kid, I can't blame the father/him to opening up the recruiting again. Why not check out all options. I hear that some in the business think that if he has a huge senior year, he is going to get a bunch more offers and from some top notch schools. He seems to just be keeping his options open. My take is that it is all good. If this kid is so good that other top schools are all the sudden very interested in him (Stanford and Notre Dame have been for years), it means we are probably getting a good one. On the other hand, if the Leafs are worried that the Aztecs have really increased the quality of the players they are recruiting and it may effect his playing time when he comes....that is all good too. It means we are doing a very good job of recruiting. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

If the roster at SDSU has been upgraded to the point that Leaf has misgivings about playing time at least early then it is indeed good for all concerned that he keep all options open.

I don't get it. Leaf seemed to be very excited about coming to SDSU. Now he is opening up his recruitement. I wonder what has changed? Does anyone have any insights into this. Any theories?

I hope Troy finds the upgrade in players a challenge rather than going some hwere else.

I hope Troy finds the upgrade in players a challenge rather than going some hwere else. Yes, and I really think it is a win/win for the Aztecs. I think he is going to be one hell of a player.....but if he doesn't think he can play here? That ain't (SIC) a bad thing for us.
