Jeb Bush is calling out Obama to just STFU about his brother, and run the Mutha F*%king country.
I like the strategy. Obama is still trying to live in campaign mode. The honeymoon is over.

Really? As if the conservatives did not blame everything, including spilt milk, on Bill Clinton for eight years. The hand that Clinton gave to Bush is aces up, compared to what Obama got from Bush. Jeb can just shut up, and run for President if that is what he wants. I understand he is the smart brother. If he ever got to be President I imagine he would be better than his brother. aztecwin would have been better than GW.

It is hard for most us us to accept that kind of allegation without some sort of documentation. In the mean time I think we should all join Jeb Bush in telling "Obummer" to STFU! ;D

It is a little harder to blame a guy that gave you a budget surplus. But I agree that Obama needs to stop campaigning and stop linking things to bush. He inhertied the office while the country is in a bad state, but it has languished there for a year and half now. And, if someone is going to link someone to being a fascist dictator directly responsible for the extermination of millions of people and for scores of millions more via war, perhaps they could spell the term right.

When is it time to own up to the problems that you have created .[/quote] so says aztecwin Can you remember what those problems are? Big national debt? Economy in tank? Two wars on opposite side of the world being fought by hundreds of thousand of Americans? All created by Bush/Cheney. Oh, yes. Gulf oil spill. Created by the emasculation of the regulatory process for the benefit of the cronys of Bush/Cheney. Yes, I will point fingers. Straight to the previous administration. They drove this country into the ground for the benefit of their paymasters. Republicans and conservatives are a shameful disgrace to this great country.

If it wasn't for 911 we wouldn't be in those wars. Ergo, no drain on our economy. However, terrorists attacked us and these countries are harboring them. I would have done the same thing as GW, and more. He said at the very beginning that it would be at least 20 years or so to clean it up. Americans are so shortsighted. I am amused at the gulf situation.. We wouldn't be in the ocean if we could have drilled on our own soil. But as long as we are dependent on oil and have to rely on others for supply, $#!+ happens.

Bush had a chance, but refused to break out the veto pen. 9/11 happened and he still would not stand up to the liberal spenders even when faced with the huge needed expense of "The War on Terror". Now, Obummer has just made it worse. I just hope it is not to late and that beginning with showing a bunch of liberals the "bums rush" in November we can start the recovery process with some Conservative ideas that we know work.

Here is the equivocation, there is a certain time when one is responsible for one's administration, and 9/11 happened almost 9 months after bush took office and he was briefed about the threat of terrorism and all reports were that it was a hands-off, dismissal acknowledgment (again, the Hubris that, at least, the last two administrations are suffering under). The administration also, in the point where a presidency has the biggest affect (that is in public opinion which leads to consumer confidence, et al) portrayed an air of fear and an extension of the terror. Their handling of the situation is responsible for it's effects. And, as someone cited in one of this threads with the concern of liberal think tanks, Project for a New American Centrury preached the overthrow of Iraq prior to anybody connected ( both HW and W. cabinet members) took office - it was a manifesto in print waiting to be realized and already signed by those that were to hold sway. If we are to agree on terms that the president is responsible for the policy of america and by extension the world, then he has to own the aftermath of 9/11 and the insuing collapse of the world economy, just as Obama must own the continued stasis at the trough of the world economy. But, again, one has 8 years of responsibility one has 17 months and during that 115 months we have gone from peek to a sustained trough; perhpas something's happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear...and it's not the failures of either party but a wider failure that needs to be addressed post-haste. Hoover didn't cause it, there was something rotten in the state of denmark; FDR didn't fix it. The cyclical nature is the root.

Once they Taliban were offed we should have been gone. All we do now is make more terrorists. It was when he wanted to invade Iraq in order to make it a democracy that he got in over his head. Democracy needs to organic. It does not come out of the barrel of a gun. Hell, some countrys have voted in governments we don't like anyway. Hamas anyone? Now we would not be in such a financial mess if Bush would have said, by the way, we need to pay for this. No, he put it own the nation's credit card. Dumb. When did Bush get a mandate from the American people for a twenty year war? Please provide that link. The Gulf oil spill amuses you? Really? How sad you are. Yes, $#!+ happens. But when it does you have to wipe your ass. Conservatives seem to think that the government, and thus the taxpayers, should wipe BP's ass. Typical conservative economic philosophy. Privatize the profits, socialize the costs. I guess conservatives are really half-assed socialists.

I would quibble with the first part, but it is like splitting hairs and up to conjecture. the place where we come closest is that party is not all that important, for it is the reaction to the events that have happened that have set us up for where we are headed. The way that we responded after 9/11 and the continued action are pretty much in line with each other. I would not think Obama or Bush would have acted much different given the circumstances. Obama is a little more reluctant to engage or is "limp wristed" but only slightly. I am much more concerned about the rest of the agenda of Obama and the lack of any action on the part of Bush to curb spending. Obama is also doing deep damage to the economy now and it appears to be by some misguided desire to be a modern day Robin Hood. It is just that he is very close to running our of rich folks to rob. Bush was no inspiration by any measure and now is when we have to take a step back and start cleaning house. November will be a time to start.

The longer we have to rely on foreign oil, we will have more of these ecological problems in the future. What amuses me is that everyone is screaming how terrible(which it is to those who live along the coast) and blaming the oil companies(which they should), but at the same time not allowing for the drilling for oil on our own lands due to left wing pressures. The ocean is dangerous and unpredictable. What did you all think was going to happen eventually with offshore rigs??
Oil is here to stay. Our roads, gas, plastics, petro products are all things we DEPEND on.
I wouldn't characterize conservatives as profit mongers. Kerry, Kennedy, and Gore, et al, depend on profits too.
PS: Teddy has not had a drink in 11 months.

I don't see how that shoots anything down. If you can show me where we are drilling where we know there is oil like ANWAR then you would have a point. Drilling is up, but is it where oil is?
