This team needs to beat a team it's not supposed to beat (TCU, BYU Utah, AFA or Missouri) Then come back and win the next week against a team it should beat. That is the next step.

We will beat Air force or by-who this year. Missouri should be a close and competitive game. Utah at home should be a good game and I just can't see us beating TCU this year.

It seems like all the prognosticators harp on the defense. On the contrary, I think it's the defense that will be better than the offense this year. Rocky is benching the do nothings and the malcontents. Plus the second year under his system will make a world of difference to the starters.
So then what's left? The Oline. They'll make or break the season.

Everybody is WAY too high on Wyoming. Their brutal schedule, along with the reverse karma for all of the bounces they got last year spells doom for them in my opinion.
I see them coming back down to earth like CSU did last year.

I see them coming back down to earth like CSU did last year. Agreed. For one thing, Wyoming's schedule is just brutal: Southern Utah a guaranteed win but then @ Texas, Boise State, AFA early in the year, @ Toledo (a pick 'em), @ TCU, Utah and then @ BYU before they host us. So Wyoming could easily be 2-6 when they play the Aztecs and needing to win out to become bowl eligible again. Also, Wyoming didn't beat even one DIA school with a winning record during the regular season last year and have had a two-win regular season dropoff each of the last two times they've gone to a bowl appearance so I'll predict they finish 4-8 this year.

Sorry, Full_Monty we did not have a 3-5 record in conference last year. We were 2-6, and probably should have been 4-4, but that's the breaks. I do believe that we will do better this year, but not ready to say anything until after we open fall practice. Go Aztecs! ;D

I do hope that Long's scheme is enough to make big defensive improvements, but much of that will depend on CB play.
