per ASR - sandiegostate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1096809Aaron Wallace Jr. - 6'4" 215lb LB local whose dad is an SDSU cop and mom is an alum. BCS schools have offered and he sounds like he might be interested in us if we offered. Does anyone know why we haven't offered yet? Is he a bad kid? Slow? Not that good of a player? Bad grades? I don't know the kid and first heard of him today so I am curious.

Maybe he doesn't want to go to SDSU.

Lots of buzz about him with Texas A&M fans: pixeltop.org/Forums/9/Topics/1610614Some say he's close to signing with the Aggies (shrugs) but that's hearsay. Other big schools are taking notice of him, there's talk that his 40 time isn't impressive but his production is. Oldie Out

While we are discussing offers.......anyone have any info/opinion as to why neither of the Seau boys have received an offer from SDSU?

The coaches have WAY more important things to do with their time than respond to some random alum second-guessing their recruiting strategy...

Actually Fowl, the coaches of all sports (including football) encourage fans to send video via e-mail. I have sent many to basketball and baseball. I was told by the coaches of both sports that is one way they can check out prospects. Especially someone that they may of missed out on him or overlooked. Warning....Don't expect a return comment from them. They aren't allowed to talk about recruits with the public. NCAA rules forbid that.

Well, the coaches are aware of the kid as they have talked, per ASR - just no offer. Rivals says he runs a 4.55 and that he was one of the stars of UCLA's recent camp. Like I said, I don't know this kid, have never seen him play, and have no idea if he is a player or not. But I was just curious why we haven't offered.

Could be they have other needs than his projected position or that this skill set doesn't match the needs of the 3-3-5. He may be a good player, just not a match for Rocky's system.

So we can send them vids on a potential recruit and not get into any trouble? Nice. I think we assume that the coaches would have seen all/most recruits between the head coach and assistants but you never know if they have missed on some recruit somewhere or didn't see some different tape from another game or whatever. There are diamonds in the rough that can be found.
