The sad state of politics has gotten worse over the last fifteen years or so - a horrible situation is now a chance for either side of the aisle to point the finger at the other guy. The complete objectification of people stranded on rooftops in 'orleans or fishing industries and ecosystems devastated is chilling: such incidents are taken as opportunities. To reify dead or damaged humansm, animals and environment as political capital to spend is down right ghouly. But, to be more concerned with standing up for a multi=national that has funneled over a million dollars into your campaign treasure chest and to use it as a political opportunity is particularly fiendish.
I continue to be astonished that intelligent people root for one of two political parties that get their directives through (often the same) corporate campaign donations like it is the Lakers-Celtics.
