the LA Times has 5 college seniors drafted in the first round, and 9 juniors, Although I looked up the other stats myself, I confess that's one stat I heard but did not confirm.

I believe your stat was correct, no seniors in the lottery, which is all the teams that did not make the playoffs. The seniors were later in the 1st round.

According to Scout, SDSU has already offered 2, 3 star SF's for the class of 2012 (one is a local kid, Xavier Johnson from Temecula). It's great to see offers to top recruits already out there ... and in the mix competing with programs like Georgetown, Wake Forest, UCLA, Arizona, etc. The SD area has few other top prospects for 2012 in Beeler 6'9 (poway), Shrigley 6'5 (la costa cyn), Lacey 6'8 (SD high) sandiegostate.scout.com/a.z?s=356&p=9&c=4&cfg=bb&yr=2012

Sequele plays on the same AAU team as another potential PF recruit Cain 6'7 PF. I think Cain is much better at this point in their careers, but Sequele has more height 6'9, athleticism and upside. And they could easily play on the floor together using Cain at PF and Sequele and PF/C.
It would be great if they were good friends and both decided to come to SDSU.

Great that HS players and purported recruits are "flying up" in the Rankings, but rankings don't mean jack! In fact, guys who put out rankings do not do it just to pass time. These guys have a monetary interest. When players like Scottie Reynolds and John Scheyer cannot get drafted, then does it really matter where you go to school or what your rank is!
Scottie Reynolds played for Villanova (Big East) and John Scheyer played for NCAA Champions, Duke (ACC). So, you would think that a NBA team would draft them in the 3rd round! Next season, SDSU is in need of some BIGS! Moreover, SDSU needs to win next season. Schools can recruit all the top ranked players, but never win. UK had five players selected in the 1st of the NBA draft, but failed to make it to the Elite Eight in NCAA Tournament.
If I am a SDSU Coach recruiting for the future, I am looking for some BIGS who can play! And with all this expansion talk, SDSU does not have time for rebuilding projects and experimenting with different players and etc... SDSU needs to win, and win now!

How does someone have a monetary interest by ranking high schools basketball players from across the country? Wouldn't you rather have a recruit that, based on their performance during AAU camps and the season, ... that gets ranked higher than lower? Scheyer and Reynolds were both "highly rated" college recruits (top 75 nationally) that lived up to their college ratings and won championships in college. Neither was a high rated pro prospect, and neither was drafted. Kentucky won 35 games last year, was a #1 seed in the tourney, and made it to the great 8. (yeah ... top rated prospects didn't help them at all?)
