So here is what I know about our new Associate.
Why he left USC. Wasn't his choice but from what I know there was a Woman senior Administrator that had it in for him (not to mention a few other male coaches on campus). She was the driving force behind his leaving.
He was made Associate Head coach because he needed a title, has an ego, which is not big deal, and well worth giving him a title because the guy is a go getter.
Worked something like 300 days a year and is willing to drive 75 miles one way to work (which he has done before) The guy is a knowledgeable coach, and a work horse. He loves his job and understand what it takes to be a successful coach.
We are extremely lucky to have him, hands down.

If he lives in LA he can recruit right from his house. he can put on clinics. He can speak at Alumni functions. He can help us get some big time home games with his contacts.

Yea, this dude sounds like he'll be here a year or two but help out a lot with recruiting/contacts and provide another big time coach at practice and in the huddle. With the 3 great players back in the front court, and a bunch of talent all over the roster, it should be another outstanding year. I hope duffy is out of the dog house and starts and gets most of the minutes at 3, she is such a well-rounded player: boards, defense, shooting, setting screens, moving without the ball, etc.

Last year she was the best option to backup 4 and 5. This year the 6'6" Arizona Transfer, Malia Nahinu, should be able to handle that role. That leaves Duffy and the Utah recruit, Jasmine Porter, to carry the load at 3. We have played 3 guards for the last two years. It would be nice to at least be able to switch up by playing 3 bigs occasionally.

Down the stretch when she was playing more she was getting some time with Paris and Bradley (when they weren't in foul trouble - that was a nasty lineup
