The Padres have been 11 games over .500 nine times this year. Their record in those games is 1-8. But at least they are 8-1 in their last 9 games while 10 games over .500. They are 11 games over now. They need to get out of this 10-11-10-11-10-11 rut - but in a good way

Ask and you shall receive. 12 games over after the win against the Rays, hopefully they keep it up.

Ask and you shall receive. 12 games over after the win against the Rays, hopefully they keep it up. We haven't been 13 over this year. Two pitchers who have been struggling face off today.
If I was the manager, I would take advantage of the day off Monday by pushing Corriea's start back. I would have him pitch against the Marlin's Josh Johnson. It would allow us to throw two lefties against the Rays who have problems against lefties. Ray's BattingALHP .234 .321 .377 .698 ARHP .270 .344 .424 .769 Johnson of the Marlins has been a killer. His last 8 starts he has allowed 4 runs while averaging over 7 innings a game. We will probably lose that game anyway. Let Corriea pitch in a game that doesn't matter as much.
