Obama to overwhelm the system

Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy.

The only thing wrong with this hypothesis is that I don't think Obama is nearly as smart as many people think he is. He is certainly much less well informed and experienced than a good President should be. The fact that he had never run anything except his mouth before taking office is now painfully obvious.

He is also gullible. Gullible enough to believe, despite much evidence to the contrary, that deficit spending helped end the Great Depression. Obama, Krugman, Frank and their ilk have this great faith that the government is what creates or at least stimulates economic growth. It's that childlike faith that inspires them to believe that the government is capable of doing . . . well, almost anything.

Above all, the statists and collectivists seem incapable of understanding the dangers inherent in consolidating so much power in the hands of a few politicians and unelected hacks. Theirs is a mentality that favors placing all of society's eggs in the basket of an elite cadre of intellectuals who are, they believe, simply so much wiser and more intelligent than the unwashed mob.

Here's another problem with this guy's thesis. If the economy is destroyed, what of value is left to take over? Maybe people with this goal in mind think that the North Korean model is an attractive one.

Maybe and maybe not. If his intent is to destroy us for the benefit of the Muslim world then it would make sense. I am skeptical, but think we should not put anything past Obama. He might just be a misguided liberal or it might be much worse.
