Maybe so, but so what. The state budget is under fire. Blaming the rich is so juvenile. Like they are the cause of bad and wasteful government spending habits.

It should be about union-busting. These PUBLIC sector unions are not organized against some evil corporation. They are organized against... well... the PUBLIC. Besides, talking to an imposter can't be any worse than talking to a real union boss on a daily basis (Trumka), or a billionaire Nazi collaborator (Soros). tinyurl.com/6kmbvbv

Speaking of bought and paid for....does anyone know who took off with Wisconsin's Democrat legislators? They stay very very quiet. They own the largest privately owned company in the U.S. They are the major funding behind the Tea-Party movement. They don't do anything out of the goodness of their hearts. EVERYTHING they do is to benefit their business and themselves. You Repubs might want to "google" these guys and find out who you've gotten into bed with.

Their "Heaven" would be the relationship that Hitler had with the German industrialists whereby they were provided with all of the slave labor they needed.

They don't give a crap about the public they are supposed to serve, they care only for themselves. Nothing to do with "robber-barons". So, how are you better than unionized government employees? Actually, I have seen far more altruistic behavior from unionized government employees than I ever saw from any conservative, self employed person, or corporate type.

Where do public workers get paid from? What do the produce? How do they bring in money to the general fund?

Glad the GOP has the House, otherwise that next flushing sound to be heard from Washington would have been the US Taxpayer bailing out all the States with Public Union pension problems. That would make the Government Motors Union Pension prop up look like chump change.

Well, I do tend to look after my own self interest. When I raided my IRA in order to contribute to Katrina relief, I was thinking, "There, but by the grace of God,...etc." And just today I placed my ballot in the mail voting YES on a local parcel tax increase to support our local schools. My obligation will double, but good schools affect my property value. The opposition is crying that it isn't fair because large businesses and corporations will have a cap on the square footage formula. A certain large corporation which owns about 30 national brands in the apparel industry (VF Outdoor) has plans to locate in our community, and they will bring lots of jobs, and will be paying lots of local taxes as well as salaries. That's a good thing for our little city, in my view, and I don't want to scare them off. So yeah, I guess you're right. It IS in my self interest.

I have never seen you post anything that was not strictly in your own self interest. So, how are you better than unionized government employees? Actually, I have seen far more altruistic behavior from unionized government employees than I ever saw from any conservative, self employed person, or corporate type. Well, if you do those things than you understand what I mean when I say that there has to be an entity who will look out for the broader good. Business will not do it, because they are not created for that reason. Yet, you dislike unions who are created to give their employees bargaining power o Well, I do tend to look after my own self interest. That's a good thing for our little city, in my view, and I don't want to scare them off. So yeah, I guess your right. It IS in my self interest. If what you say is true, then you should understand that entities like unions were created to provide for an enlightened self interest. Employees who are well paid and work in safe places are better for the community than employees who are poorly treated. You would also understand that government's job is to provide for the good of all, which is also good for for those who pay a bit more than the value in benefits that they receive. I still find it instructive that we were better off economically when we had stronger unions. I also note that American businesses do quite well when they produce in countries with high union representation. Now why would that be? I find that your posts generally do not acknowledge the general good and I find none of that attitude in most conservatives. Nor do I find it at all in business-unless it is externally forced. But, business's function is not the common good. It is making a profit. And that drive needs to be mitigated for, again, the common good. Government and unions provide that function. If it were not for regulation, I would get screwed more often by businesses than I already do. I am not sanguine about my efforts to receive a fair deal from most businesses, sans some kind of government control. I trust teachers, firemen, paramedics, military people, etc, much more than any business man. My large pile of business experience notwithstanding.

innocuous/waztec.... I really don't give a small fart about what you think. You call me angry. Fine. I'm nowhere near as bitter as you are. Tell us how many people have gone to the ovens because of the Kochs. And then, tell us what a prince of a man George Soros is. reason.com/blog/2011/02/24/evil-koch-bros-support
