I figured there was no chance of you answering any questions. When you see your grandkids kiss them and say, "Thank you for the golf and the booze I had today". Keep you quarterly check coming. I want to take a vacation to Hawaii and take my grandkids. I am sure they will live and work in a changed world where things are funded as they become obligated. They will also still be paying off your retirement as well. How high will their taxes be? |

It seems it took a world war to get us out of the economic mess brought on by Wall Street excess and Republican intransigence. Hope we don't need to do that again. 70, that world war was essentially senseless spending, sort of what Obama has been giving us. Now, it you want to include the period leading up to the world war, that time period effectively pulled us out of the Depression, because England and France and others were buying a lot of American Product from 1933 to 1940. When France fell the orders faltered, BUT by then there was enough stimulus to the economy that we would have pulled out of the remaining Recession by late 1942 without having egged Japan on to attacking us to get us into the war. In case you wonder about the last comment, as an historian, I know that New Zealand and Australia tracked the Japanese battle group all the way across the Pacific in late November and early December of 1941. Warning after warning was sent to the White House, but Washington acted as if nothing was happening. Further information made it obvious that they were headed to Hawaii. A warning was sent to Hawaii but it was sent to arrive too late to prevent a mass slaughter at Pearl Harbor. That attack was used to rouse the American people and make us eager for war. |

Joe, I'm sorry, but what a crock. Soon you will be telling us that Bush did 9/11 to drag us into Iraq. Not that I don't think he drug us into Iraq, but he had nothing to do with 9/11, just like we did not egg on Japan to attack us at Pearl Harbor. They did launch the attack, you know. There would have been war with Japan no matter what. BTW, one of the areas of emphasis in my BA in history was....wait for it....Japanese history.  |

These kids coming up today will lead a movement to lower taxes overall with a flat tax or a consumption tax as the vehicle. Even liberals will be able to file their own tax return if there still is a filing to be done. |

Are you trying to make me think that you are the chief bulllshitter on the board? Outrageous conduct on your part. Anybody who has studied the history of the US leading up to the outbreak of hostilities knows full well that we deliberately drove the Japanese into taking that hostile action. Now, they might have attacked us even if we did not wage full scale economic war on them, but I doubt it. The Japenese felt that we left them no alternative. I agree with them. From their perspective we were the enemy because of our constant hostility and overt racism directed against Japanese in particular and Asians in general. You may want to try to rewrite history, but it will not stand with me. |

True, we just converted one IRA to a Roth under this years one time rules and will pay the tax over two years. It still would be worth it. |
