Good article. Looks like the MWC conference is only in danger of losing Utah. The Big 12 seems to be happy with their two team loss.

So now the Big 12 teams are locked together for better or worse. When the Super Conferences (16) teams eventually happens the Pac 12 can't take any other those teams. Where will they look? SDSU might be one? If we get our act together maybe.

According to both Tim Brando of Sporting News Radio and Bill King of Rivals Radio, the secret group was ESPN. (Wouldn't expect to hear that from ESPN.)
According to those guys it was all about the 4-letter network wanting to undercut Fox. Word was if the Pac8/Big12-6+2 deal came to fruition, Ruppert Murdoch was prepared to spend any amount of money to get its TV rights. While Fox already has the Pac, the 4-letter network has the Big 12 and didn't want to lose it so probably overpaid to keep it as the Big 12-2. Agreement of the 4-letter network and the other nine members of the conference to allow the Longhorn Network to be an overlap got it done. Of course, the question is whether that house of cards can manage to stand for a decade or so. Personally, I'm quite skeptical of that.

The Big 12/10 has one player and 11/9 lapdogs to Texas. Either you can be a house servant to Texas or work the fields for them. Do you want shade or the hot Texas sun. Texas A&M wanted to run away and hide. They wanted out of the UT shadow. Almost made it but the Texas deputy with those mirror sunglasses stopped them at the border and took them back to their owners in handcuffs and 30 days in the sweat box. OU bowed to UT from the start and will do what UT wants. OSU was just a friend of a friend and where ever OU went they would do wagging their tails behind them. Now we are left will Texas Tech. Who are they? Where are they? We never heard about them. Now that the Sheriff is in the east bringing back TAM will TT make a run for the MWC? Throw in Houston and you have a 12 team league. Paging Texas Tech, paging Texas Tech. If they escape, the Big12/10/9 is in trouble. Is Texas Tech the "Big Escape?

Just wondering but will there be a secret group that will step up to deny a qualified MWC a place at the BCS table?
