Hope Fish brings is A-game and is ready to talk some smack. This has the potential to be as awkward as the time I saw Charlie Rose interview the Beastie Boys. "Well, Romey, yes I would agree with you ... our start thus far has been (air quotes) 'epic' and we've been (air quotes) 'blowin up' here in San Diego. And yet, we know that if we don't play with intensity, if we don't guard hard, we run the risk of getting (air quotes) 'run,' as you say, early in the tournament. But I like our team. Sufficed to say, I'm (air quotes) 'geeked' about what these young men have accomplished"

However, he does have a few things going for him. Rome is very familiar with SDSU. He's been a Faulk honk from Marshall's first carry in the UOP game back when Rome was doing the night show on 690. Also, Shelton helped pave the way a couple weeks back. So I'm guessing Fish should be OK. BTW, JRIB airs at 1:30 p.m. Set your DVRs accordingly.

And by exactly, I mean not even remotely close.

They're both professionals, I'm sure it will be great. Just as long as Rome knows that if he hurls any Chrissy barbs, Fish will toss the table and be ready to go.

Now, it'd be a truly "epic" interview if Fish used some of the vernacular he displays when the cameras are off. I once heard him drop a "we played wilder than a three-peckered billy goat."

what the hell is in Steve's mouth? sounds like he's talking with food in his mouth and looked like he had something tucked in his right cheek.

Maybe some chaw?
Good interview, sort of the same stuff as many of these recent national pieces, but some more good pub.
