5 1/2 years ago he had a verbal commitment to UC Irvine as a 2. His evolution since has been extraordinary. DJ will always be one of my favorite Aztecs ever. In any sport.

My perception of the guy has evolved from "scrappy, one-trick streak-shooting pony" as a freshman, to "never seen anything like him" over the past two seasons...
I don't think we'll ever have a better team captain.

I don't think we'll ever have a better team captain. hey sleepy - yes we will. class of 2015 my kid... just kidding. he loves DJ and tries to be like him. Shows what kind of role model DJ is and how Fish runs his program. top notch. He told me he only wants to play basketball at these schools 1- SDSU 2- Duke (in that order) he told me at the UNLV game a few weeks back that if he didnt make the SDSU team, he would be front row in the SHOW!! Man I love my kid!!
