Some great tweets by Dana O'Neil, who was at the game tonight. Some of my favs: @dgoneil1 Ok absolutely love that players dance for intros. They're college kids. This is supposed to be fun. Awesome. And they can dance. @dgoneil1 Have decided the Aztec (a guy), who wears a skirt that would make cheerleaders blush, is bravest mascot in country. @dgoneil1 As if this place wasn't already juiced, introducing new HOFer Marshall Faulk during timeout. @dgoneil1 Lone disappointment here tonight: Utah may never get to line in front of students. Won't be able to see assorted faces they have on hand. @dgoneil1 OH wait a free throw! Thank you! @dgoneil1 With 1.2 seconds left, Jim Boylen calls TO to draw up that 32-point play. Down 85-53. lvrebelfan: any observations about the team you didn't know? @dgoneil1 Even better than I thought, I think.

Damn, I am pissed I missed the Faulk intro. I bet the place went apeshit.
Does anyone know if Marshall still resides in SD primarily?

Does anyone know if Marshall still resides in SD primarily? When he first went to Indianapolis, he used to live across the canyon from me in Tierrasanta during the offseason. He was taking classes at SDSU to finish his degree. He then signed a much bigger contract and bought a place in Henderson, Nev., I'm guessing for tax reasons (Nev. has no state tax.) After he retired, he didn't have to worry about taxes as much (I'm guessing) and bought a place in Rancho Santa Fe. He's been extremely active with SDSU since he returned to town. He was rockin' the red-and-black Disgruntled Monty T tonight.

Marshall Faulk's primary residence is in Rancho Santa Fe.
The place went absolutely nuts when they realized who was walking out to center court with a check for $30,000 made out to the Aztec Club for athletic scholarships.

Im going to miss Brian Carwell. I just spit out my soda.
“I said, ‘We can’t let them get seven points in seven minutes,’’ Carlwell said. “We have to get them the curly fries. We’ve had games where we held them to 53 and I get home and my boys call me and they’re mad. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it happen this time.’’

A HUGE "Show" favorite. The guy absolutely went out of his skin and lost his mind on the and 1 slam. So insane.

Does anyone know if Marshall still resides in SD primarily? Yup, but "primarily" is a broad term these days. He he has a place in town. I'll leave it at that...

Thing is, no one really cared at all about the $30k. We all just wanted to honor our Pro Football Hall of Famer! The second he stepped onto the court, the place went BALLISTIC! Couldn't hear the PA guy hardly at all! Standing 'O,' and a deafening roar. Very fitting tribute to one of the greatest Aztec football players of all time!

I remember the NIT game here against St. Mary's when they showed Marshall on the big screen. He got a huge standing ovation. Same for Strasburg when he first returned. We love our Aztecs here.

Yeah I was in the student section and I didn't even realize he was donating money until he held up the check.
Place was a madhouse though. So much enthusiasm
