Rahon is no 3...unless they go to a 3 guard offense.

Rahon is a scorer who I believe will be very important to our success the next two years as well as the rest of this season. Like Jimmer, it isn't always pretty and sometimes downright out of kilter, but he has a nose for getting it in the hole and is much more than just a three point shooter. As the season has gone on we have seen him deke his defender and dribble in to pull up for the mid-range jumper and he is plenty willing to drive to the hoop and mix it up for a lay-up plus one. Regardless of whether he starts or is a strategic sub off the bench Rahon is going to be of increasing importance to our success during his Aztec career.

I have watched many Aztec games on TV, but I got a chance to see them in person last night.
There is more youth on this team than I thought. Jamaal kid is a freshman. Tapley is a sophomore. Rahon is a sophomore. Leonard is a sophomore. The young point guard is a freshman.
Do we have any big guys coming in next year?

Looked up Stephane Manga and could not find much info on him as a player. Just that he's a PF from France out of Maryland with a height ranging from 6'4 to 6'7 according to the different online sources. But I did find a few very interesting things on his facebook and twitter pages. On his facebook page under activites he has "2009-10 San Diego State Aztecs men's basketball team" and on his twitter he wrote on Jan 19, "California !!!! it's where I'll be next year" I'm no rocket scientist, but all signs are pointing to the Mesa!! His name is spelled many different ways too which makes finding info tough. According to espn he's a 6'6 210 SF ... "Magna has an athletic body, with wide shoulders and long arms .. a high basketball IQ and good basketball instincts. He is in full attack mode on every catch. Stephan runs the floor in transition and is an above the rim finisher in traffic. He has fundamentally sound footwork, using jab steps and crossover steps as a wing to create offensive advantages for himself. He has an explosive first step and handles contact well when finishing at the rim." very interesting find with the "Cali .. it's where I'll be next year" quote?? espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/103405/stephen-magna

He looks atleast a solid 6'6. On this video he's #23 red team. He's #1 red team towards the end of the clip begining at 2:40

But he looks potentially great in all other aspects.

Kawhi is awesome and should stay another year to be the man on the team by working on consistency from the outside. He has improved so much, especially with ball handling. One more year.
If he stays, then he can be a LEGEND vs. awesome.
Hopefully, he paid attention to the reception Faulk got last night at halftime. That's legendary status.

Ease off the Kool Aid. Long way to go to get close to where this team is.

To me I think Leonard has to get a little more polished to play in the NBA. He has a ton of potential but if he leaves i see him ending up playing in Europe or some other country. Please stay at least one more year and work your way into a potential Lottery pick!

Please stay at least one more year and work your way into a potential Lottery pick! No way Kawhi plays oversees. And, again, the NBA is as much about skills as it is about potential. If they think Kawhi has the physical tools (and he does), they'll coach him up to meet their specs. The odds of Kawhi coming back for his jr. year are very long. People need to get over that and wish him a very high draft slot and a very big contract in the bigs.

He will get there with 40 hours of skill intensive practice a week a lot faster than in college with 12 units of classes.

Forgot someone, Kawhi. He will be back next year. He is not ready for the NBA. He has to work on his shot and polish his all around game.
