And the whole BCS house of cards goes down. You can bet one will happen if schools get screwed. BCS has no real defense so this should prove interesting. Texas AM and Texas can not leave Baylor because of Texas politics. Obama wants a playoffs and this will trigger a lot of possible litigation. I say schools left out of the loop pull out of the NCAA hold there own playoffs for basketball, football, baseball get their own Y TV contract. Include basketball only schools in the mix

If you think the other Texas schools won't go for the money and leave Baylor behind, I think you're wrong. Lets check-back on Tuesday and see after the Texas regents meeting. They'll try a little arm twisting, but Baylor doesn't go to the PAC-16

Where were these guys when the MWC was complaining? They've already set the precedent when they turned a deaf ear to Sen. Hatch. They made their bed, let 'em sleep in it...

Or maybe MWC,but I can not see them paying to get in. I could see this as a good set upbut it will not happen. MWC-East 1Houston, 2TCU, 3New Mexico 4Baylor, 5Mizzou, 6KU 7KSU 8.Iowa state MWC-West 1 BYU 2Boise State 3Utah 4CSU 5AF 6Wyoming 7SDSU 8 UNLV

The best Baylor can do is join the WAC because the only other opportunity for them is the Sun Belt, which is where they should have wound up back in '94. And quite frankly, I don't give a rat's ass about Houston. They've had 3 good seasons but not much before that. We don't need them. =Bob

That might be a little shortsighted. I think Houston is what, the #4 TV market in the U.S? The MWC could use something like that. Heck, the MWC doesn't even have the Denver market.

This conference would provide from this past year 2 bcs teams, 9 bowl game teams, 9 NCAA tourney basketball teams, and 4 baseball world series teams, stack that up against any conference. I would prefer not to invite Baylor and ISU (Waco and Ames, eck) Why not add SMU (provide a great rival for TCU, another Dallas market team, June Jones has turned around the program fast) and Fresno (adds another west coast team and rival for SDSU and UNLV, brings good football program and baseball program). Move Air Force to the east with SMU and put Fresno St in the west. Although if KU states that they want to be in only if the rest of the big XII teams are included, then you suck it up and take them.

Three good years is better than us. The same thing could be said of the Aztecs. yes I would prefer them and smu,but I think there might be a package deal with the big 12 leftovers.

Do you really think TV's are tuned into Houston football games on Saturdays? I bet UT and A&M post game shows get batting ratings in Houston than UH games do.
