I just ran across this. It's the text of Kresge's secret speech to the Communist Party's secret meeting in 1956. It is a stinging indictment of Joseph Stalin and his brutal, repressive policies. Very interesting reading. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Secret Speech Delivered by First Party Secretary at the Twentieth Party Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, February 25, 1956 www.fordham.edu/halsall/mod/1956khrushchev-secret1.html(By the way, you might want to look up the Soviet Constitution and look it over, as well. Worth your time.) AzWm

The USSR remained a brutal dictatorship, but never again was it so pathologically homicidal as it had been under Stalin. AzWm

AzWm And you think this is new because...? =Bob The fact that the speech was delivered is widely known, of course. I did say that I had just run across it. I had heard of the speech but had never read it. Probably few, even those who are aware of the speech in general, have read it either. AzWm
