Most of the time a team with great chemistry beats a more talented team that plays like individuals. A few examples from the last few days/weeks:
Mich St - was the preseason #2 team in the nation but kicked starting SG Allen off the team for 'violation of team rules' and recently suspended G Lucious. They've lost 3 in a row (12-8 overall) and are struggling to find chemistry and win games, much less make the tourney.
TCU - has suspended leading scorer Ronnie Moss for 'violation of team rules'. They've lost 8 of last 9 and in last place in MWC.
After suffering through numerous players getting kicked off our teams for various violations, which leaves gaping holes in our lineup and screws up recruiting for a year or two ... I'm happy we finally have solid people playing for our program and I'm happy Gary Franklin ended up playing in texas. Bryce Jones has numerous incidents linked to his name ... but I hope these are behind him if he comes here.
It's been almost 1.5 years since we had a player suspended? Jaywalk-gate was the biggest incident that I'm aware of recently? Good job boys ... get those wins and get those grades.

It seems to me that Coach Fisher is quite adept at handling prima donnas (otherwise known as troubled young men). I'm fine with trusting him on who to take a chance on and who to pass on.

The Habel situation is a perfect example of Fisher's refusal to put up with problematic people in the program. Habel's incident was far from classy, but Tre'Von Willis did something far worse, and he missed just two games.
Evan Burns too, unless I'm remembering the situation incorrectly. He was given a chance to fix his classroom problems, then continued failing, and hadn't been dealt with by the university yet, but Fisher still kicked him off the team.

Excellent points here about Fisher. I remember so well that when Holcomb came here he was a prima dona and pouted. Fisher would bench him when he pouted and that ended real fast. Say what you want about Fish's in game coaching ability( I have never been critical), but his players respect him totally.
