Had the pleasure of chatting with Frank at the end of the evening. Helluva nice guy and a VERY loyal Aztec himself. While discussing football and OC recruiting, Ronnie Hillman's name came up. Frank wasn't aware that Ronnie was born on the same day as Marshall's breakout game against UOP. He lit up at that anecdote as he was at that game and has been to many, many games since. My pops and I even needled him a bit about the fact that the Register has given more press to SDSU in the past few months than in the past 12 years combined (at least since my brother and I first enrolled down there and we were actually paying attention). He agreed, and promised to do what he can to get more coverage of the goings on at Montezuma Mesa. Last night's attendance will certainly help give him ammo to bring that promise to fruition.

Nicely done, fellas! But I still have exactly ZERO desire to move back to The OC.

I escaped from behind the Orange Curtain 9 years ago, but have been to the Classic Q many times. So it is awesome to hear that the Aztec Nation is coming out of the closet, and showing their Red & Black in big numbers. Realistically, the Aztec Nation in number, should rival USC, and UCLA in terms of Alums/Grads living in So Cal.
I would like to someone come up with a selection of window decals, to go along with the license frames, so as this tide of support surges more Aztecs can fly the colors.

I'm in the process of buying a house right now and getting out of the orange curtain is definitely a factor in where to buy. Anyways, the Aztec fans I chatted with on Wed night were good people and I'd definitely go to more events.

That was fun. I saw people that I knew from State 20 years ago & recognized. We are all in our early 40's but still cool to see people you remember from being on campus & in the fraternity system @ SDSU.
We all know how fun SDSU was to go to school.

Move over UCLA and USC... Haha ( I know it's early to start thinking this way, but that would be amazing!)

Move over UCLA and USC... Haha ( I know it's early to start thinking this way, but that would be amazing!) Gotta be AT LEAST as many Aztecs in the LA/OC area as there are Beruins and Condoms. Wouldn't it be nice to once and for all draw them out of the woodwork?
