From what I read yesterday it sounded like Stefan wasn't impressed with the brutal weather last weekend! Can't blame him there!

Funny, CAL was 5-7, got beatdown on national TV by Nevada, and no bowl game. AHHH, must be nice to have that BC$ money rolling in and still be able to bring in the recruits.

Is it right for me to be so happy that he's not going to Michigan, even if he's not coming to The Mesa?!?

Probably just one of those kids who wants to get away from home and experience a new environment. We do get a lot of Bay area recruits, probably for the same reason. McClure probably realized that football last a few months and he still would have to live in that crap for many more. Flying into and driving thru That cesspool of a town named Detroit was a plus.

Just some Mid-Major griping. Could you image if we went 5-7 how many 4 star recruits who wanted to "get away", would be knocking at our door? 0. In a time when teams are being judge on how they're doing lately, Cal has under performed, but because they're in PAC 10 (12) kids are still willing to give them a shot. Cal has a track team and looks good on a resume. I'm sure he'll be happy with his decision.

I don't think it's bad that State lost out on this guy, though I'm sure he would have been a great addition. We're always going to lose some. We're finally getting in the last group of kids who were high school during the CL era. Hopefully the next group of local HS seniors will see more winning football so that we can keep more higher rated local talent.

Granted we have had our share of coaching changes, lately, however I don't see many of Cal's coaches being with the program after this next year unless they make a dramatic improvement this year.

This. Cal football is a mess. He is picking the name. We can't win that battle. Just keep wearing gear, giving money and make SDSU the best place we can. Keep winning and they will come. (and transfer home when going 5-7 and sitting home all december gets old)

And Cal is a great university. Does that not mean anything anymore?

And Cal is a great university. Does that not mean anything anymore? We're talking about the football team. Cal is a great school, and as I said before, having it on your resume will open a lot of doors.

And Cal is a great university. Does that not mean anything anymore? It does to me. Roll on you Bears! The Fred Noonan School of Navigation. PS--would have loved to see him at SDSU, but...

His staff has rolled over more than a sea otter. Only one left from the original. Tedford has a real bad rep now among assistant coaches.Cal is full of guys who are trash talking creeps as well.
