As a BYU grad, a tremendous BYU sports fan, and a visiting lecturer @ SDSU, I have to give a ton of props to the SDSU hoops team. They went to Provo to play and did a great job, but the team's lack of conditioning really showed tonight. Fish needs to run those guys harder if you want to have a run in the tourney as I bet you end up in the Denver opening round.
Now, some feedback to the message board posters here, that come visit the BYU boards and that post on the MWC board. Grow up - quit acting like BYU has:
- Paid the refs - Rigged the instant replay - Cheated in whatever other way that you want to infer
It's ludicrous. The folks that I run into on campus that know I'm a BYU grad/fan run their mouths about the 'cheaters' as well. So it's not just an internet message board thing.
Delusional.
The fact that so many posters on here state "we're so glad we don't have to play them anymore." Well, I guess that's obvious when all you can do is lose against the cougars.
If you want your sports teams to do better, then play a tough schedule. Toughen up and keep improving. If you really think the Big 12 is going to extend an invite to SDSU, you think they're going to even look at an athletic program that can't even beat the sucky cougars?
If all you want to do is keep the status quo, then celebrate that this is the last season you'll play the cougars. Your RPI will reflect playing down to the remnants of the MWC.
I for one would love to see SDSU keep playing BYU. Being on campus and in the SD area, I'd love to see BYU more (and I think it would do great things for the gate receipts @ games).
Again - total respect to the team & Fish. Awesome game plan, just poor execution and poor conditioning. Now... I'll have to put up with the crap from those on campus about how BYU cheated by paying the refs tonight... ugh.

"You guys are great, blah, blah, blah....but if you would only be a little bit greater, like us of course, you would be much better off." Nobody said byu cheated tonight, but they have gotten away with a lot of calls over the years. Everybody knows it. Also, BYU is good, obviously, but as the only sea level school, we are at a huge disadvantage in this league. As to whining, nobody, and I mean nobody, whines like BYU. When Cleveland was coach, every call was argued by the players. We never argue a call. I would make sure my son never took you in a class......your absolute arrogance is appalling.

You are pathetic. Your team just won a tremendously huge game and the first thing you do is come to the opponent's board and tell them how terrible their fans are?
Pathetic.

BTW, they must teach that technique at BYU. How to pretend to give others credit while actually criticizing them. One day, we will be as great as you, but we have so much to improve upon. How will we ever do it?

I hate then when I tell you that you're a douche, you'll use it as fuel to show how small minded I am...so I WONT call you a douche, or anything of the sort...and your superior attitude WONT bother me...or the fact that you know by nature that BYU cuts corners in everything, then hides behind rules yet claims 'it is what it is' when coming to 28 year olds acting like freshmen...truely the worst university, and traveling salesmen in the history of man kind..

I didn't realize we stopped screening our visiting lecturers. Really disappointed in SDSU's administration if this guy is allowed anywhere outside of the insane asylum he obviously escaped from.
