Have you guys read that now over 700 Corporations and Unions have gotten waivers from the government so they do not have to offer Obamacare? One Union that donated $60MM to the Obama campaign got a waiver....that Obamacare is for someone else they get to keep their Cadillac plan!

There is no one that I know of who wants anyone to go without quality healthcare. ObamaKare does not and can not deliver that commodity. We need to tell our Congressmen and Senators to start over with a common sense approach and incrementally make reforms and access the effects of those reforms. Your initial remark tells me that your ability to objectively access this in a common sense manner is absent. |

The reality is that we need something to ensure that everybody has access to proper medical care. At present, Millions and Millions of people across the United States do not. They are dying by the hundreds of thousands every year because they do not have proper medical treatment. My saint of a wife is tutoring twenty different children of immigrant parents (and yes, some if not most of the parents are probably illegal). One of the fathers of the children was in my original Wet Back Work Crew in the Midwest, so I know he was illegal. All of the men in the WBWC were. He has been caught and deported at least five times. When he wants to visit his old mother down in Merida, Yucatan, he turns himself in and they fly him deep into Mexico to repatriate him, always for free. The government is very generous. He always comes back a week or two later. But he is just one example out of millions. Most are hard working immigrants just like any former immigrants to this land. They come, work like hell and try to realize the American dream, at least within a few generations. Spanish is spoken in the home and the children usually have tremendous difficulty learning how to read and write in English. My wife makes it her mission to drive around to all of their apartments and shacks and trailers wherever they live to tutor their children. You might say it is our continuing children's ministry that we have been working at for the past third of a century. Seeing this all first hand makes me a strong fan of the initial step we have taken to get proper medical care to the masses. We have our foot in the door and now we can change Obama Care to full Socialized Medicine in America. Praise God for Obama and his efforts to help the poor! |

A solution that is filled with hidden traps and pitfalls, that is probably unconstitutional, that may well cause the early retirement of tens of thousands of doctors when we are already short of them, that will empower unelected bureaucrats to formulate restrictive rules that will tie the hands of family physicians, that will substitute political decisions for medical ones, that will raise the cost of health care by billions. . . well such a solution, Joe, is no solution at all.

PS: I also forgot to mention that ObamaCare will eventually kill private insurance and will, despite everything, probably leave several million people uninsured.

The Bush Health care program killed hundred of thousands, killed small business plus put us in one of the biggest recessions since the Great Depression.

All you have to do is check with my wife about her tutoring. She is a saint of a woman. When we were camping at San Onofre camp ground, she took all of our drinks (fruit juice and sodas) and gave them individually to the Wet Backs who were passing through the bushes and weeds along the highway to avoid the Immigration checkpoint on the highway. Hundreds upon hundreds were going by that campground on a nightly basis. MY wife is blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of her womb. All of those kids have gone on to be valedictorians of their school classes. You can ask her about that, too, if you want. Everything I tell you is true. |
