The guys (Patrick, et al) on "Football Night In America" were unstinting in their condemnation of Norv Turner. Item: the TD pass against the Dolts with 6:27 to go in the 4th Q. They did a freeze frame right before the play began that showed all 11 Chargers huddled together pretty much in the center of the field like a group of abandoned puppies trying to stay warm. There was no discernible organization on the defensive side of the ball. The players seemed to mill around aimlessly. Just before the snap one of the CBs did wander out to "cover" the Bengals' WR on that side of the field. The ball was snapped a second later and the WR took off with the Charger's DB obviously caught off-guard. Result, an easy TD. "They (i.e., the Chargers) weren't ready," opined Dungy. Do tell. The guys did think Turner would be back next year. Isn't that' good news! AzWm

Let the Spanoses move this abortion of a franchise to LA. See how long the fans there put up with the incompetence. Just ask Al Davis.
