If Locksley can get an interview, why can't I?
I've played enough Madden to know what I'm doing.

WTF? This must be some joke. And that idiot from UW that went 0-12? Maryland must be trying to run the program into the ground then.

We are in that interesting part of the year where dominos start to fall. Let us just hope that we are not part of it.

Latest says Edsall (UConn) to Maryland.
Leach, then, still available. He'll make a great hire for someone...

Hadn't heard that about Edsall but he would be well advised to take it for even the same money. I just don't see UConn ever getting very good in football since football talent in those parts is pretty much confined to Pennsylvania and UConn is always going to be battling Syracuse and Rutgers for the leftovers that Penn State, Pitt and West Virginia don't get. As to Leach, the fact Maryland interviewed him before anyone else is evidence that he isn't persona non grata everywhere. If Pitt doesn't take Rich Rod, maybe they'll hire him.

No, I heard it on the broadcast & thought it was nutzo! The most unbelievable thing I've ever heard in the history of sports. Really strange.

The fact that they got cold feet after firing the coach of year to ostensibly hire him means that he is going to have a hell of a time getting a job as some school is going to be in such pits or so strong to be able to convince their trustees, president, and wealthy boosters to hire a guy a year removed from that type of press. By next year/year after, or if he's an OC somewhere that will pass, but he's a nuclear bomb for blue bloods right now and I think he got a raw deal and is one hell of a football coach.
