I really don't know what religion MTG is. The fact that somebody that stupid has gained the kind of power in America she has is damning. She wants to kill all support for Ukraine in their war with the aggressor..Russia. She's just too f****** stupid to understand that this would cause the murder of thousands, if not millions. Not to mention the rapes of thousands. Don't believe it? Just look at what Russia did when they marched into Berlin. She is so clueless, I doubt she could find Ukraine on a map. If that's a religious person, count me out. Yes, I think she's wacky in a lot of ways. I was just responding to the fact that I think, due to my religious beliefs and it was a religious statement by her, that America needs God, and I feel that many people do need to repent. I agree with her on that. I also said that I don't think God is punishing us with eclipses, and earthquakes as they happen naturally. That's a little wacky. Nothing more, nothing less. I wasn't trying to equate to Trump.

This is *not* a religious statement, it's an outright fallacy with religious pretext. Her feed is full of them, as she knows what her base is and what it represents.
Same with this one, which spreads another false conspiracy that World Transgender Day was scheduled to conflict with Easter by the Biden administration.
The hate, the cruelty, the misinformation under the guise of being holy and righteous is the point.

One problem you've already seen, which will continue to get worse as we go: The general public is getting dumber and normalizing what's taking place. Ask a Republican what the difference is between Biden and Trump. They'll tell you things like: The border, the economy, etc. Ask a Democrat and they'll tell you: Fascism vs democracy, women's rights, etc.
We throw around loose adjectives WAY too commonly without understanding the damage that's done by not actually exploring what things mean. We also are far too willing to brush aside radicalism as just "talk" or "free speech." It's part of the reason why the information divide continues to grow and some people just refuse to see different (valid) perspectives.

She is making a religious statement of her own, no matter if it's right, or wrong. In regards to Biden and him proclaiming transgender day on Easter, is misleading. From what I understand, it was always on the 31st, and Easter just happened to fall on that day.

Just because you spout biblical statements or an actual verse doesn't make it religious. Just like I can pick up a Bible tomorrow and it doesn't make me Christian. Earthquakes are natural occuring events caused by tectonic plate shifting. This eclipse could have been predicted eternities ago. There's nothing religious about either one of them. Again, you'd have to pay attention to this person's track record with the truth and reality. It's grim. And yes, you're 100% correct. It's been March 31st since 2009.

Next year Easter is on April 20th, which coincides with Hitler's birthday. Somehow, I don't think the moral outrage will be quite as strong.

Maybe you don't know this, because you're an atheist, but saying that something/someone needs to repent is making a religious statement, and specifically a statement of Christianity. I've already said in two other posts that I don't think God is punishing America by creating earthquakes and solar eclipses. They're natural occurrences.
