I was impressed with Amey when we played SJSU. But I'm sure he's looking for $ and a big school. I would if I was him.

Tim Miles is a good coach but I don't think that will ever become a "program".

Tim Miles is a good coach but I don't think that will ever become a "program". San Jose St had a pretty decent "team" this season. The Spartan OOC record was 7-7, but in the conference, they couldn't compete at 2-16. Top SJSU Wins: UC Irvine (24-10) 72-64 (Kenpom #79) Santa Clara (20-13) 81-78 (Kenpom #107) Norfolk State (18-11) 77-53 (Kenpom #223)

I like Amey and Cardenas. Cardenas's 5.5 APG is just what SDSU needs, a true point guard who can also score, as well as Amey.

Cardenas could be a great fit

Cardenas could be a great fit Solid player, who can shoot, is a pass the first PG, and a good decision-maker. 2024 season stats: 31 games, 36 minutes per/game, shooting 46%/39%/81% and 13.2 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 5.5 APG, .9 SPG + he is in the CSU system so most of all classes transfer and have no idea who which schools are interested. He scored 21 & 11 against us in 2024, 8 assists, and 3 TOs. From Granada, Spain.

I've definitely been impressed with Cardenas the last two years. The big question, of course, is how Dutcher and crew feel he fits in defensively.
I really feel bad for San Jose St. and Coach Miles. NIL and transfers must make life hell for a lot of struggling programs.

Things just starting to get warmed up at the end of the first week of MM for players and coaches
As always the better teams or those with more money do even better on getting additional players

I loved watching Petraitis play for AF. He was a gamer.

would guess that there will be some movement of players after this weekend is over
could also ask might there be some coaches leaving their current MW schools
realize USU HC was considered a top candidate for some jobs - is he still after playing a very good #1 Purdue

I second (or third, or fourth) the appreciation for Cardenas. I hate to steal from Tim Miles, but if he's leaving anyway, better that he come here. I could see some interest in Petraitis, too, since he's close to the Heide family. I don't see him as being more than a role player here, tho.

would guess that the SDSU reach out to a variety of guys to see who is interested but keep the priority of a 5 and maybe a PG - depending on what Butler does
do also wonder if the WSU HC will also be a choice - could it also depend on what transfers a HC can bring with him - is Great O going to go the USU coach and who from WSU might follow him ?
would also wonder if the Grand Canyon coach will get some offers or has it been the NIL money GCU has to spend on basketball NIL and HC

It is Sprinkle. If WSU Kyle Smith leaves Washington St (kinda looks like it when the reporter ask about a extension) then Rice is the top priority.

If Sprinkle leaves I bet Osobor goes with him again. Brown's done though.

think Wyoming lost an additional player to the Portal
key for Lobos will be can they keep their 5 and Dent
Yes would look for Great O to be following his coach from USU and probably others
