Gundo hate to break it to you but college Football is a major Big American Business
There was a lot of alignments going on and it allowed a few schools to go from G5 to P X - BYU - Cincy - Houston - UCF and only P5 schools were left behind OSU/and WSU . In addition they are fighting in the courts to get the money they should get from the schools that left the PAC . OSU lost its coaching staff and top players . WSU could be the same
SDSU was this close to getting to the PAC but Fox Sports ( who will make a bundle ) was able to get the Huskies and
Ducks to head to the BIG then others went to the Big 12 or ACC
So the divide between P and G only got wider - and will continue - assisted by the Portal and NIL and possibly new TV Deals that benefit the Rich - soon it will be the Playoffs for the P's with 12 or 32 teams - and eliminate the Bowls
The rich get richer and the Poor get poorer - think we have heard that phrase before in Big Business

Is Lewis the solution? Maybe, but the momentum needs to change, and is. The dream of the PAC12 and/or BIG XII is dead, and I think we all drank the cool aid that we deserved to be a P5 (P4) school. There is more work to do. ****** Which momentum are the referring to? Retaining any of our portal transfers? Maybe portal guys who have committed to coming here? New high school commits (Buxton was already coming here with Brady)? I like him but so far all smoke and no fire.

For having a team with supposedly low talent, our guys sure are going to solid programs

The title of this thread should read "commits" and not "signees" since they can bail until the first class end of January.

That's OK, he never could live up to his brother's legacy. Hope he does well though.

Gundo would guess with the revolving door of players leaving and coming to SDSU you must be in 7trh heaven - also the coaches but that seems to be coming to a close

Some of these guys in the portal have multiple P5 offers each. It wasn't 100 percent weak talent, in my opinion, it landed moreso on the last coaching staff not coaching them up enough as the issues And NIL I suppose as well. You can't tell me Malone going to Oklahoma in the SEC was part of the problem here. I mean as you see up above, Harpole to ASU in the BIG-12 means he's an athlete that we might not have properly coached up and used properly while here. Cannot wait for Coach Lewis and staff to put their fingerprints on this roster moving forward. Come on people, what else do you need to see to tell you what a poor job this last staff did on evaluating and developing talent. They also were poor in game day prep and game planning (not a real good combo) This new staff is a breath of fresh air (soo far!) Lets go Aztecs! What was really glaring is how well they played the last game of the season. They played motivated which was lacking much of the year. That does fall on the coaches but it could have been the letdown of not getting into the PAC9/10 added to the team's lethargy.
