Yes, winners are typically deserving of the award, but are winners the most deserving? How do we know without some objective measures? And what are they this time around? Otherwise, it's still a popularity contest.

Speaking of, do we really need to wait until Nov 16th before announcing the Cy Young? Weren't votes due about 6 weeks prior to that? |
