247sports.com/article/kuol-atak-haltom-texas-tcu-oklahoma-osu-sdsu-smu-213981103/O ne of the best shooters in the national 2024 class is down to six schools. This morning, Kuol Atak announced he will be considering Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, San Diego State, SMU, TCU, and Texas moving forward.
Atak has been to TCU and Texas unofficially but has yet to complete any official visits. He has scheduled his first fall official with Oklahoma for September 16th, per The Athletic. He also is expected to schedule dates with Oklahoma State and San Diego State.

It's depressing seeing us up with these P5 schools knowing we can't compete with their NIL $. The two Oklahoma and three Texas schools have lots of rich supporters.

It depends on the kid and his circumstances on whether they are looking for the highest bidder...or where they fit the best to succeed...he's from TX...maybe he wants out...OK is right next door...so maybe he doesn't want to be called a traitor...so my guess if he gets on campus...Dutch will use the peripheral route persuasion tactic on him...and hope for the best. |

Not sure if he's an international student or not...if he is...my understanding is that he can't participate in NIL money...so that might level the playing field

Interesting to see San Diego State is the only west coast school on his final list. Everyone else either in the state of Texas or Oklahoma.

To hell with all these conference changes going on. The beauty is, to get to the top it won't make any difference what conference you're in. |

Great looking player that has a nice shot but is far from a Power forward, he stays away the rim/paint and looks to avoid any contact. He is nowhere near getting any rebounds and keeps his distance from going down low in the numerous tapes I saw. The guy plays outside like a wing which is not a bad thing at 7 foot but hard to list this guy with the bigs. |

Per Zeigler's article the other day - he is being recruited as a 3 - noted for his three point shooting - from the Ft Worth area - cousin to current Aztec MG - probly why SDSU is on his list
Dutcher likely to recruit 3 HS players already have a 6'5" guard that has made verbal to the Aztecs

would guess that playing his HS ball in Texas is a better background then Nebraska also having numerous P6 schools is also favorable
