Fani Willis is expected to seek an indictment against Donald Trump as early as next week, with a grand jury to hear evidence in what is expected to be a sprawling, complex RICO case.

The "48 hour notice" rule indicates a indictment could be coming end of day Tuesday. Under Georgia law, there is no mandatory felony bail conditions, but Trump will never be detained pending trial anywhere. Since this is a state crime, there's no presidential pardon possible.

It appears the festivities are proceeding more quickly than originally thought. Witnesses are all expected to be done today. Georgia typically indicts the same day.

10 indictments handed down. No information released yet on the identities. Will be public in less than a few hours, per the Fulton County clerk.

Will the Magats finally take the offramp to reality or will they continue to believe in the big lie?
The Teflon Don, was just that another crook that believes he is above the law!

So many thoughts here: The sheer number of people indicted (along with apparently 30 unindicted co-conspirators) is staggering. We've not seen a case on this level yet.
The absence of Lindsey Graham tells me he either "flipped" or cut some kind of deal to avoid prosecution, as he was heavily involved in the process to overturn the election in Georgia.
Jenna Ellis being indicted is peak hilarity, but I'm guessing she will cut a deal, along with some others, to avoid a trial.
Trump's now up to over 100 felonies in all between five indictments. There are some in the GOP base who are fearful that if he isn't the nominee, his base will not show up and the Republicans will lose the election. (They weren't winning it anyway, but hey.)

I'm loving Fox News and the hyperventilating talking heads being obsessed for the last hour of the DA saying she didn't know how the indictment got on the internet...never mind the 40 counts against Trump for "disagreeing with the election results and voicing concern about it." That's overlooking a lot of criminal activity.

The Republicans still loyal to Trump are losing their minds claiming interference, obstruction and collusion. When in reality...he's just a criminal.

Some of the unindicted co-conspirators:
Tom Fitton (#1) Burt Jones (Lt. Governor of Georgia, #8) The remaining fake electors (#2, #9-19) Some speculation that Flynn, Graham and Wood are among the others.

And this is wild: The judge assigned to the case has been a judge for seven months.
Seven...months.

It shouldn't have taken more than a few months to charge Trump. That phone call was concrete evidence of a felony. It WAS the felony.
Anyone defending that is a moron. Trump is literally a serial criminal. He has ALWAYS put himself above the law. It's just finally caught up with him.
Anyone who supports him at this point is anti-American and anti-justice. More interested in having their side win than doing the right thing.
The party of the rule of law, the party of tough law enforcement, the party of accountability is suddenly the party of letting a criminal get away with horrific crimes against democracy itself. They are supporting a wannabe fascist. It's really pathetic.

Carlo Gambino was involved in organized crime for 50+ years and the only jail time he served was 22 months for tax evasion. This case is massive in scope and it was specifically built as a RICO case. It's not about one felony. The RICO element is the most important aspect of the indictment.

But by taking 2 1/2 years it's put him in the position to run for President, and if he somehow got elected it could result in him consolidating power in such a way as to literally overthrow democracy and the rule of law as we know it - all so he can avoid prison (and he'd do it, too). Unless this trial happens by March he could get away with it, and destroy the country in the process. He is literally the greatest threat to democracy from within that this country has ever seen.

I suggest you read the Constitution. Nothing short of invoking the 14th Amendment would disqualify him from running for office. They didn't wait "two and a half years"....they investigated. They have 161 overt acts in furtherance of a conspiracy. The RICO statute requires they prove *two* predicate crimes. This is a state crime. There's no presidential pardon. There's no closing up shop for the DOJ to not investigate him here. He's not winning the presidency. Fani Willis said she's seeking a trial date within six months. His legal trouble is still just beginning.
