How much testing on hearts, lungs, etc. do you suppose a school like USC does on their incoming athletes or their existing players? Or at SDSU?
There has been a huge spike in myocarditis and pericarditis in the past few years, especially in young men. The number of cases is still fairly small, but it's an enormous increase from pre-COVID days.

Docs couldn't find anything wrong with him.

Second year in a row USC has had a player go into Cardiac Arrest in July. Last year Iwuchukwu was able to start playing again in January and was a force by March. Hopefully Bronny can do the same, if not sooner. Wish him the best.
USC is loaded at PG so shouldn't hurt their team too much, but definitely makes them thin.
PS. Still hoping USC is the mystery P12 team Dutch keeps referencing as a potential opponent.

Vaccine. Pure and simple. Pure and simple? How about the fact that contracting the virus itself has been known to cause myocarditis and pericarditis as well? Both the vaccine and the virus itself have been shown to cause myocarditis in young men. So it's not a leap to guess that it might be vaccine related or COIVD illness related.

People can debate whether the surge in myocarditis is due to the vaccine or due to Covid. Yes - you can definitely get myocarditis from Covid. But the increase in myocarditis and other heart problems, especially in young men, didn't really happen until 2021/2022/2023. In 2020, when Covid was raging but people weren't vaccinated yet, there wasn't a significant increase in myocarditis. news.yale.edu/2023/05/05/yale-study-reveals-insights-post-vaccine-heart-inflammation-cases#:~:text=When%20new%20COVID-19%20vaccines,been%20vaccinated%20with%20mRNA%20vaccines. "When new COVID-19 vaccines were first administered two years ago, public health officials found an increase in cases of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, particularly among young males who had been vaccinated with mRNA vaccines."

Agreed, not a leap, but a far cry from "Vaccine Pure and simple," as Lloyd's post above shows.

Well, I will say this - when the public is saying "I'm getting sick from this vaccine" and the CDC and our government is acting like what people are saying is a hoax, it's really insulting to people who experienced these side effects, and it really undermines public trust in government institutions. I have bad chest pain for days after being vaccinated. Several days. And this study is saying that there is this specific incidence rate of myocarditis following vaccination, but what about people who didn't go into the hospital right when it happened to have a imaging done to detect myocarditis? The actual incidence rate is likely much higher.

I'm so pissed about the vaccine being basically mandated to young health adults. Seems like it is getting memory holed...Hopefully this wasn't vaccine related and he makes a full recovery.

Shouldn't 300 million people be dead or be in intensive care by now?...why is the vaccination picking people off so slowly...one at a time?...and how is it exactly to you know the vaccination status of James...did you give him the shot...or do you have access to his shot record?...inquiring minds want to know....

Then let’s add: 23 year old tennis star I Bing Wu ESPN host Shaka Hislop Singer Tori Kelly, blood clots Anita Alvarez, swimmer Kj Hammler, Denver broncos wide receiver
And this is recent list and athletes. We don’t hear about common folks. They should never have vaccinated young people.

These are young athletes and entertainers. And there are many, many more. It’s in the news. Remember that Patriot defensive back a year ago, for example. There is absolutely no reason this should be and has been a common occurrence. You don’t hear about the “common” people because they are not celebrities. And I don’t have to answer to you Boy about my credentials. Do your own investigating.

Sounds like they're optimistic he'll be playing sooner rather than later. Good news, even if he is a Toejam.

Turns out it wasn't vaccine related at all. Congenital heart defect.
