I've heard we might be hovering around the middle to lower ranks in G5 Basketball. It's possible, that New Mexico, UNLV, Boise State, and potentially Nevada & USU might be seeing more activity in NIL pay-to-play deals. However, these are just rumors I've picked up indirectly. That could possibly be potentially the greatest post ever and might be the most interesting according to others that I do not know. For instance, UNM reports a NIL budget of $1.5 million, Nevada follows closely with $1.2 million, while UNLV was quoted at $600,000 in 2023. San Diego State's reported NIL budget exceeds $300,000 (calculated based on 13 players, each receiving $2,000 per month for 12 months), exclusive of any local community sponsorships or partnerships with companies or entities. Again, these are figures in the press, provided by the collectives.

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned that SDSU's was double this past season what it was previously. Still... a ways to go to catch up to the likes of UNM & Nevada.

correct but the Lobos 's 5 Toppin has also entered the Portal - will they hold a spot for him to possibly return as they try to raise more money or try to recruit one from the Portal
Also have the Lobos dropped some of their support for their Football team ? Not sure how much they signed their new Football HC ?

Hmm maybe some folks here might finally start believing that lack of NIL resources will indeed be an issue for us until we can get it at least as competitive as New Mexico. This is clearly incorrect. We do decently compared to other G5s, however we are well off even lower level P5s

Originally we were reported at $300K two seasons ago.
