According to Kris Johnson on Twitter
This is the UCLA former player Kris Johnson. Believe he is Marquese Johnson's son.
Hope it's true. Great pickup if true.
Will wait for confirmation from RDW, but 760 and John Schaeffer have replied: "HUGE!"

I just saw this on Twitter as well. Looks to be a replacement for Matt though not established as a 3 point shooter as he was. Didn't watch any USC games (did people from USC do so?) but if he is a defensive standout it is easy to see what the staff wanted him. I hope he can adjust to playing in front of big crowds LOL.

OUTSTANDING news. Can compete with Parrish to start at the 3, or start at SG if Butler stays in the NBA draft (hopefully unlikely, selfishly). At least 2 years of eligibility. 2024-2025 starting lineup of Davis, Byrd, D-W, Saunders, Heide is looking VERY good (in no way dismissing the 2023-2024 team, just projecting ahead).

Huge. Dude shoots close to 50% at mid range, which is his game, something we sorely needed on this team. He looks like someone who can get his own buckets.

Good get, now if we could get A.J Storr of St. Johns and a rim protector that would make for a great off season. I hope Dixon-Waters improves on his only 29% from three and 1 assist a game. Eugene "Boogie" Ellis decided to forgo the NBA and will stay with his covid year for U$C. Dixon-Waters leaving U$C will hurt them but I'm sure they have a plan B.

Analysts are predicting Bronny James to USC, which I'm sure would demand starter minutes given the name.

Their plan b is having the number 1 recruit in the nation coming in who is a guard… Collier & Ellis is going to be an insanely good backcourt! Where it hurts them a little is in replacing Peterson, where D-W would step right in & provide great D + experience. But they return Johnson & White as well, so 3 from those 4 will be formable to go along with all the bigs they have. That's a top 25 team, although there will be growing pains without Peterson, who was their glue.

I'm not worried / don't care about USC until or unless SDSU plays against them in March...

I'm not worried / don't care about USC until or unless SDSU plays against them in March... I'm hoping we play them in November or December personally. Dutch said there was 1 P12 team they'd hoped to schedule this past year but couldn't make work but thinks it'll happen in 2024. I'm hoping it's them. Or Oregon. Ideally on a neutral court, or on the road (since Stanford is at home).

The Pac-12’s Sixth Man of the Year averaged 10 points per game for the Trojans last season; he will have two years of eligibility remaining at San Diego State, from Zeigler at the SDUT.
Good replacement for Bradley, taller, better defender, shooting TBD.

This is a HUGE get for the program. Expectations are much higher this time as with the caliber of players we're considering. Oldie Out

Dutcher said that he wants "two or three" players from the transfer portal and that they would host another visit this weekend.

Zeigler had a lot of quotes in there from Bland. Obviously there’s the RDW connection but it makes me wonder about if there’s a chance he is the guy who replaces Luster if he leaves.
