How many times have we heard from supporters of ObamaCare that people live longer in countries that have some form of nationalized health care! Well, it's not nearly so simple as that. One extreme example of nationalized health care is the United Kingdom. (I believe that health care workers are actually government employees!) A close look at what patients must put up with under that system does not inspire confidence in it. There is one element of the UK system, called NICE (which really isn't so nice!) that worries many Americans who have studied the British system closely. There may be an attempt to adopt the concept of NICE in this country, especially now that President Obama has named a big fan of that system to an important federal post. I hope fans of ObamaCare will react to the concerns expressed by the author of this piece. It would be "nice" to be convinced that my fears are unwarranted. www.bostonherald.com/news/opinion/op_ed/view/20100524central_plannings_bad_medicine/AzWm

The more that we learn and know about what Obama has planned for us the more fear we should have for our health. This whole ObamaCare bill was ill advised. We need an incremental approach that tries to fix one aspect at a time and then wait to see what the real effect has been. As I pointed out on another thread, our best hope is that the Supreme Court takes this case on and rules at least one part unconstitutional rendering the rest down the drain with what ever part is ruled upon.
